Hailey turned 11 this year! This was the first birthday I've spent without her. She decided that she wanted to go to Kahneeta with a friend. While she had a great time I missed her a ton.
While I was sweating away at practice with Jasi I received this picture. She was relaxing in the pool with Pappi! Thankfully they were able to enjoy themselves despite the surrounding forest fires.
If Hailey looks a little dark in the picture it's because she came home not looking like my child! The girl tans so well. Her skin was almost as dark as her hair when she came home. Not only is she almost as tall as me but she's definitely darker than me.
"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path." -- Agatha Christie

Layla meet's pre-school!
Layla had a great time meeting her teacher and her new friends before pre-school starts this year. She is so excited to be starting school like a big girl!
She gets to go to school two days a week in the afternoons for 3 hours. She has her Dora backpack and is ready to go!
I can't believe my little girl is getting so big so quickly!

♥ The new man in my life ♥
Mason is growing like a weed! We just had his 2 month check up and he's already 12lbs 5 oz and 24.3 inches long. It looks like he plans to keep up with his Uncle Jake!
Do you think these cute little feet will be able to keep up with Uncle Jake too? He's got big shoes to fill, pun intended! Size 15 is a long way away but he's sure working on it.
This is one of my favorite pictures of him. I'm glad he likes to indulge me in my new hobby of picture taking!

And he's here!
Mason Keith Waadevig arrived June 23, 2011! He was 8lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. He just missed his daddy's birthday by one day.
His sisters and his cousin are so in love with him. He will be very lucky to have so many little mommies around to help him out. I'm sure he'll really appreciate his cousin so that he can get away from all of the girls!

Mason's personality
I was able to do a follow up ultrasound today to make sure that Mason was still in fact a boy. He definitely is and was busy showing off his little personality. He spent a good majority of the ultrasound with his hand near his face and licking anything he could get his tongue on. I was able to watch him look around and yawn. He was one tired little boy today. I'm so excited to meet our little man. Only 60 days left!!! Hopefully in that time he'll stop being comfy diagonally across my stomach and figure out the position he's supposed to be in.

Time for some redecorating!
With our newest addition coming along I thought it might be time to lose the pink! I'm sure he'll have nothing against pink since he'll see so much of it but it's time to bring a little bit of boy into our house! We have already purchased Mason's bed set and will be painting the nursery blue soon. Preslyn is still in the nursery for now but I'm sure she won't mind the change of scenery for a bit!
All of these changes have meant reorganizing the house. We have finally redefined the "ideal house" for us and ideal now equals convenience. We have moved all clothes out of the girls room's and they are now in the office. We have more control over the clothing everywhere and most of the laundry is on the same floor of the house now! That definitely makes it easier for me!
The girls are so excited to meet their brother and to be honest I can't wait for July either!
This is what Mason's bed set looks like! The crib is white but I'm sure it will look great!

I'm finally getting my prince!
We found out on Feb 21st that we are expecting our first little boy! We couldn't be more excited. Layla told us all along that she was having a "baby brudder." I asked her what about a sister and she said "NO, it's a brudder!" Well she was right.
Mason Keith Waadevig is a happy healthy little guy that we can tell from the ultrasound. Everything looked perfect! He should be making his appearance sometime around 7/10/11. His ultrasound shows he's a little more than a week ahead! Already trying to be a big boy!
He'll get to carry on Grandpa Waadevig's last name and Grandpa Gappmayer's first name. We haven't told my dad yet but I'm sure he'll be estatic. I'm just as positive that Grandpa Waadevig would have been so proud if he was still here today.

Happy Birthday Preslyn aka Peanut!
Preslyn Rose Waadevig was born on Jan 27th, 2010 and is such a blessing to our lives. She is still our little peanut even a year later. She is finally starting to grow and catch up but is still so petite. She is one of the happiest babies I have ever met! She has a smile that just melts your heart!
While she looks like she is amused to be opening presents she really only cared about three things. Her cake, the tissue paper and her cousin Elliot that she would have preferred to go play with rather than being stuck with me! She got a lot of great gifts and is enjoying them all. We love watching her play even if it's with the noisy toy Uncle Jake got her! Those things really need volume control!
Preslyn was not shy about her cake. She loved it! She was a little messy but not too bad. She was making sure she could get every bit into her mouth. She messed around with trying to eat the frosting until I cut a piece that she could actually pick up. She ate that entire piece you see! Even though she is our peanut she sure doesn't eat like one!

Elliot's First Birthday Fun!
Elliot Jacob Lanphere was born on Jan 21st! It's amazing how much they grow and change in just one short year. It's been amazing to be an aunt. I'll admit though at times I forgot I was just the aunt. I'm so used to being the only one with kids!
Elliot had a ton of fun at his birthday party! He loved playing with the balloons that covered the floor. Unfortunately his cousins were having just as much fun and most of the balloons were popped very shortly.
Elliot wasn't too thrilled about the idea of his cake. He seemed annoyed by the frosting being messy. He did eat a few bites and then was washed off so that he could get back to playing with his cousins! He seemed to enjoy his party!
